Located at 2111 Landmark Circle, the building is more than 64,5000 square feet. Opening in late October, according to Sanford Health, the bigger building allows Sanford to have multiple services in one place while taking in more patients. "Everybody's really excited," said Jerilyn Kersten, clinic director for Sanford Landmark. "Our patients have been on the journey with us. We've been hoping for more space and finally it's come to fruition." The services offered at the new building include primary and preventive care, family medicine and pediatrics, behavioral health and mental health counseling, diabetes education and nutrition services, endocrinology, laboratory and mammogram screenings. "Having our services together allows for a stronger communication between providers," said Danna Bossert, a nurse practitioner for Sanford Landmark Clinic. "It gives us the ability to collaborate a lot easier." "The patients don't have to travel across town or a different facility to see your colleague or someone in a different specialty,” Dr. Ndu David Ugobi, a pediatric doctor for Sanford Landmark, said. Ugobi said a new building containing multiple specialties allows doctors to build good standing relationships in an environment that is designed with family and patients at the forefront. The mammogram technology is new, according to Sanford staff, and opens doors for women’s health. Kersten described the new technology as a step forward. "We've never had mammography before so it's a really big deal, especially for women’s health," Kersten said. "We would have to send them to other places in Minot or miles to Bismarck. This is something brand new for us and we're really excited about it." The new clinic includes 45 current exam rooms and 22 offices. Both Kersten and Jake Mellmer, the vice president and executive director of Sanford Health for the Bismarck West Region, said the organization is looking to expand even more into the building to meet their patients’ needs. "We have plenty of space to expand," Kersten said. "We have spaces that are filled and ready to go and we have spaces that aren't built yet. Even after we get settled and iron things out, we're looking at bringing more things on. Whether we move other services that are still located at the other clinic or expand services and new service lines. We have a lot of space to do that." "The whole goal is to provide as much care in rural settings as much as possible," Mellmer said.
